Who are we and where are we from?
Directly owned by the central government of China, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS) is the biggest high-tech enterprise for supplying agricultural machinery technology for manufacturing plants as well as equipment for customers. Founded on Oct. 23 1956, CAAMS have been playing a very important role in the development of China’s agricultural mechanization. Since her foundation, CAAMS have totally completed research and development work for more than 3000 agricultural equipment for Chinese government with 2188 having successful achievements. Based on these, over 2000 projects were finished and numerous farm machines supplied for the end users at the same time. Having 5 subsidiary companies and 7 incorporated companies now, CAAMS totally employ a staff of 2009 among which 1451 are intellectuals. As a total assets owner of RMB￥543,000,000 , CAAMS also hold 300,000 square meters of building located in the lands of 3,210,000 square meters which are not included in the above mentioned total assets.
As a comprehensive academy, CAAMS was organized in the forms of 15 research institutes each working on a specialized area. Founded in 1976, Poultry and Livestock Equipment Research Institute (PLERI) of CAAMS have been engaging in the RD, consulting, technical service, production organization and marketing of equipment and engineering projects related to poultry and livestock raising. In the wake of China’s Reform, Modern Agricultural Equipment Co. Ltd. (MAE) was formed by CAAMS and other 3 companies in 2001 with CAAMS having a share of 90%. Except for investing some capital, CAAMS also invested the assets of 5 research institutes and 1 manufacturing plant into MAE. PLERI are one of them and now renamed as Poultry and Livestock Equipment BU (PLEBU) of MAE. As a newly formed company, MAE are basically running the way that her biggest share holder CAAMS do. It features that their 8 speciality BUs are treated as profit centers with each working on one specialized area.
What have we been doing?
With 28 years’ experience of RD, consulting, technical service, production organization and marketing of equipment and engineering projects related to animal farming, PLED, the inheritor of PLERI, are mainly working on the following fields:
1. Feed milling equipment and projects
1) Developing, marketing and services of different feedmilling equipment like hammermills, mixers, elevators, conveyors, extruders, expanders, coolers / dryers and liquid coaters.
2) Extruders and liquid coaters are our core equipment in this area. Totally around 340 extruders and 30 coaters have been installed in China and Southeast Asia. Just in this year, we have supplied 50 extruders for Chinese feedmills.
3) Contracting different types of feed mills with the capacity of less than 50 MTPH from the very beginning of design to manufacturing and installation of equipment, till the last commissioning of the project. With our technical know-how, we have completed over 20 mills all over China.
2. Animal farming equipment and projects
1) Developing, marketing and services of different types of poultry and livestock farming related equipment, such as spraying systems for cooling and sterilization, chicken / pig / rabbit and drinkers, cages with watering system, cow bowls, poultry / livestock feeding systems, milking machines and animal manure collecting systems.
2) Contracting different types of poultry / livestock farms. More than 20 chicken / dairy farms have been constructed so far in China by our experienced team.
3. Organic fertilizer processing equipment and projects
1) Due to our close connection with poultry and livestock farmers, in 1999 we developed our organic fertilizer processing system which features that animal manures and crop stalks are the main raw materials. By now 5 complete processing projects with 1 being the biggest in China have been finished and put into use for our customers.
2) Developing, marketing and services of different types of manure related fertilizer processing equipment like fermentation system composting turners, grinders, dryers / coolers and granulators.
4. Forage / silage processing equipment and projects
1) Developing, marketing and services of different types of forage / silage processing equipment like choppers, shredders, cubers, and stationary balers.
2) With TMR diet mixers as our key equipment in this area, we have developed very good business relationship with many Chinese dairy farms as well as specialized TMR suppliers. Starting the business in 1999, we have totally supplied over 30 diet mixers for China, North Korea.and even Japan.
5. Sales and service representing for foreign equipment
1) At the beginning of year 2004, we began our cooperation with JF, the largest supplier of grass harvesting and processing equipment in North Europe. At the moment we are their sole and exclusive agent in China.
6. Consulting, design and supervision for customers and government
1) Originated from a research institute, we not only develop our own products for marketing but also undertake some consulting, supervision and customer design like animal farms and feed mills.
2) As our name implies, CAAMS have been playing a big role in Chinese Agricultural Mechanization. By helping the government in defining Promotion Plan of Animal Husbandry Machinery, PLEBU have not only got some government projects but also developed our own products with prosperous marketing potentials. |
